MARINE SERVICES

We are excited to now extend our claim handling philosophy, expertise and experience to the unique and complex field of marine claims.

Marine Services

We are proud to offer Marine Services in addition to our already exceptional workers compensation portfolio.

At Penser, we know the concerns vessel owners have with respect to the care of their crew and we know the lifeblood of a marine operation is the health and safety of their crews.

Our resources, such as nurse case management assistance, include individuals who are trained in the unique exposures of vessel crew. We get to know your operation, your vessels and your crew to ensure a claims program that is exclusive to your needs. We partner with your modified duty program, where applicable, for consistency in your operation and your OSHA recording.

Our expertise extends to MARAD claims involving maintenance and cure, ensuring proper documentation and notification to MARAD of the loss for proper task order documentation.

Here are some of our offerings:

  • "Your Claim System or Ours" - complete flexibility in where you wish to have your claims data managed
  • Trust management for direct payments by Penser Marine with SAP/Accounting upload capabilities
  • Management of injury and illness claims involving crewmembers from the date of the event to resolution by closure
  • Advocacy based claims management to reduce litigation and create positive outcomes for crew
  • Application of our tried and true 4 process contact, eliminating the antiquated "3 point contact" for crew
  • Complex claim management and resource assignment
  • Collaboration with your modified duty program involving crew

Penser Marine Services Endorsements

I worked with Christine on one of my first and largest clients when I initially came back on the broker side. Not only was she incredibly seasoned from a technical perspective on USL&H and Jones Act claims, she also served as the account manager on the TPA side.

She offered herself to me to me as a resource with her expertise on the maritime exposure as well as how the account was historically managed. This allowed me to become familiar with both the claim and service sides which led me to easily settle into my role as the advocate.

Christine is extremely professional and very personable so she will be to face any challenge that is presented to her. It was a pleasure working with her and I wish her much success in her future endeavors.
